IT Support Specialist – 20-41EW

Action Car and Truck Accessories is Canada's leading car and truck accessory retailer and distributor to both the private and industry sectors.  We have 37 stores across 9 provinces.  We are currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team.

Based in Moncton, NB, the IT Support Specialist will ensure continuous availability and maintenance of the company’s ERP and IT systems.  The IT Support Specialist will also provide technical support to end-users and facilitate system upgrades and installs.

Responsibilities

  • - Maintain current knowledge of relevant systems and marketplace information
  • - System administration and environment configuration of the company’s ERP system, Syspro
  • - Perform in-person, on-site repairs of PC desktop hardware, printers, and other peripherals
  • - Diagnose and resolve network issues (e.g. LAN access)
  • - Participate in changes to network and systems access for new and existing employees
  • - Perform root cause analysis on functional and technical issues
  • - Coordinate software patches, upgrade testing and new implementations
  • - Provide end-user support and problem resolution via telephone, e-mail, and other vehicles of communication
  • - Develop strategies for adding new functionality and its integration with current business practices
  • - Maintain efficient functional systems, networks and communication connectivity for all users, keeping current on how new products/technology would fit into existing systems and infrastructures and developing implementation plans for the changes/upgrades

 

Qualifications

  • - Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in IT/Network Support
  • - Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL an asset
  • - Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2016 an asset
  • - Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems
  • - Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • - Knowledge of Syspro ERP system an asset
  • - Solid experience with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
  • - Superior communication skills
  • - Ability to work a variety of hours as required
  • - Ability to travel, on occasion, within Canada
  • - Strong troubleshooting abilities

Accounts Payable Specialist – 20-35EW

Action Car and Truck Accessories is Canada's leading car and truck accessory retailer and distributor to both the private and industry sectors.  With our head office in Moncton, New Brunswick, we have 37 stores across 7 provinces as well as 3 distribution centres.  We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Controller and be responsible for processing and maintaining transactions as part of Action’s Accounts Payable team.

Responsibilities

  • - Sort, match, review and set up invoices for payment
  • - Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
  • - Maintain an organized filing system for all appropriate documents
  • - Respond to supplier inquiries and resolve discrepancies with internal teams
  • - Keep Controller informed of potential accounting and billing issues
  • - Assist with other accounting and admin duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • - Diploma in accounting or financial related program
  • - 2+ years of experience in accounts payable
  • - General understanding of computerized accounting systems required, experience with Syspro software considered a strong asset
  • - Proficiency in Microsoft Office – strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • - Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Essential Job Duties:

  • - Provide the Right Customer Experience to all customers

  • - Processes orders – performs order entry (orders called in or received online), reviews orders for correct                  handling, pricing, quantities and shipping data
  • - Look for opportunities for up-selling
  • - Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when part requested is not available.
  • - Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • - Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.
  • - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • - Must have the ability to work in a Call Center environment where frequent interruptions may occur.
  • - Must be able to work under pressure comfortably
  • - Bilingualism considered an asset
  • - Automotive aftermarket experience considered an asset
