Distribution Centre Administrator - Edmonton 18-25EW

Action Car and Truck Accessories is Canada's leading car and truck accessory retailer and distributor to both the private and industry sectors. We have 36 stores across the country. We are currently seeking a Distribution Centre Administrator for our Edmonton, Alberta Warehouse.
The Distribution Centre Administrator’s primary function is to enable the efficient operation of the Distribution Centre by performing all administrative functions for the facility. The DC Administrator is required to ensure accuracy of all data and paperwork moving through the Distribution Centre. Flexibility will be required as occasionally hours of work change and the occasional Saturday shift is required.

Responsibilities
• Receive products accurately into computer system while ensuring shortages/overages are identified and communicated
• Maintain daily receiving log
• Research inventory discrepancies
• Process invoicing, Bill of Lading, address labels etc. for outbound courier/carrier shipments
• Perform all other administrative functions as required such has filing, answering phones, ordering supplies etc.
• Assist customers arriving to pick up product
• Willing to help in other areas in the Distribution Center as needed

Qualifications
• Community College Diploma in Office Administration
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a distribution centre environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Exceptional computer skills, experience with Syspro considered a strong asset
• Highly organized
• Strong attention to detail

Essential Job Duties:
• Provide the Right Customer Experience to all customers
• Know your performance objectives. Know current performance vs. budget
• Generates revenue by promoting sales of new and existing products
• Customer Management: Initiate sales calls to existing customers to assess their inventory needs.
• Processes orders – performs order entry (orders called in or received online), reviews orders for correct handling, pricing, quantities and shipping data.
• Look for opportunities for up-selling and price negotiation.
• Keep customers informed of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
• Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when part requested is not available.
• Answer all inbound calls routed to your phone
• Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able to communicate effectively with others and be a team-player. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends. Must be able to convey product information and availability to customers. Must be organized, motivated, and a self-starter.
• Must have the ability to work in a Call Center environment where frequent interruptions may occur. Must be able to work under pressure comfortably.
